We’d like to invite you to a social event this Friday (2 December).
The main event will be a talk by Antony Butcher, “From Bradford to San Francisco: cycling 4000 miles across America”.
Antony undertook a traverse of North America earlier this year, raising funds for Multiple Sclerosis charities. Antony’s from Burley in Wharfedale and is on Bradford Cycling Campaign’s committee. He started his journey in Times Square, New York, in April and climbed about 120,000 ft (36,600 metres) during the ride, which is four times the height of Mount Everest (as you probably knew)!
Come and hear his story!
We’ll also have a chat about the latest developments in Bradford and how cycling might be affected, including major plans to restrict motor vehicles in the City centre. We’ll also cover the formal business of our AGM, which you’re welcome to attend. Here’s how it’ll go:
12.00: Formal AGM business
12.30: Discussion/chat about Bradford developments.
13.00: “From Bradford to San Francisco: cycling 4000 miles across America”
It’ll take place at the Capital of Cycling in Bradford (you can bring your bike inside: Rawson Road, BD1 3SH, see https://www.capitalofcycling.org/location/). We expect the event to end around 13.30 or soon after. You can join us for all of it, or just come along for the talk, whichever you prefer.
The AGM agenda is listed below. We’d welcome interest in standing for Officer’s positions, which are:
- Chair
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- Other Officer (four positions)
If you can’t make the meeting but wish to stand, please let me know (self-nomination is fine).
We hope to see you on Friday.
